[ Later that afternoon you will find not one, but two Soujis making their presence known in the town square. Standing on benches near the fountain, they both have books open and seem to be reading from them, projecting their voices over the wide open area. There's an open journal by their feet, simultaneously broadcasting it over the network. Wonder what they're doing? Why not take a closer look? ]

--It's pretty deep, don't you think? But I think if you think about it for too long you might get a headache.

Heisuke is gone? [Dumb question that she already knows the answer to, but...wow. Lame. She only knew him casually, but she'd seen him often enough that his absence seems bigger than it should. More sudden.]

[All the disapproval, Okita-san. All of it. Chizuru knew it was only a matter of time until this happened - she had expected for some bizarre reason that his other self wouldn't have participated.

...he just seemed...well, so much nicer, is all. She hears the water of the fountain, which was a dead give-away to their location - though Chizuru guessed that they had no intention of hiding or anything...]

Okita-san..! Er, Okita-sans! [She knew this would get confusing eventually. Here she is arriving in the town square, crouching over and catching her breath for a moment.] Are you...are those...[Breathe, girl. Breathe...

Sure, Chizuru couldn't exactly blame you two for wanting to stir up trouble--er, that is, have some fun--in the wake of Heisuke and Saitou's departure. To be honest, she'd been looking for some sort of distraction too. Maybe she was a little envious that it came easier for the two of them than it did for her.]

[So here's a Selphie and she conveniently happens to have a bucket in her hands. Whatever did she need a bucket for on that lovely fall day?

Oh right. There'd been a leak somewhere and she'd offered to help take some of the excess water down to the river to get rid of it.

Then she came across one Souji she recognized and another that she didn't and boy were they being dorky. So Selphie in the spirit of good fun and because she can, will be sneaking up behind them with her bucket of water and throwing at the two of them.

So what happens, Gentlemen? Do you both get wet or does it miss?]

[Today was one of those rare days when Hijikata sleeps in a bit. "A bit" here meaning "he couldn't get to sleep until about ten in the morning and he literally just woke up." And he wasn't even in a good mood to begin with. Shockingly.

Anyway, he checks his journal after getting ready for (what's left of) the day and such. There's usually nothing interesting on it, so he's just idly skimming. But oh, seems like Souji put something on here, that could be important.....]
